Emily Deibler

Labeled as “a walking World of Darkness advert,” Emily Deibler writes fantasy and horror. As a child, she enjoyed history, films, books, folklore, and mythology. Her inspirations include authors like Angela Carter, Neil Gaiman, Toni Morrison, Octavia Butler, and Ursula K. Le Guin.

Emily published her first book, Dove Keeper, in 2018. She has also published a sequel, Birds in a Cage, and a Southern Gothic horror novel, Rabbit Heart. When she isn’t working as the fiction editor for Exhume, she manages the website and social media for Doubleback Press. She has completed a BA in English and an MA in Professional Writing from Kennesaw State University. She identifies as bisexual and genderqueer.
